“In January of 2013, I decided to train for the Brooklyn Half marathon which was in May. It had been years since I had done any running and was probably in the worst shape of my life. I had no idea where to start so I reached out to Coach Rob for some guidance. Coach Rob and I worked together each week to assure that I was getting in the miles needed to cross the finish line strong. Since I am in NYC, all of our correspondence was either by e-mail or phone. Each week he would check in via e-mail to make sure training was going okay. Schedules for each week arrived promptly every Sunday. If I had any questions or concerns, Coach was always great with answering me back quickly. On May 18, 2013, I finished my first half marathon in 2:15. He literally got me off the couch to running 13.1 miles! I had such a great experience that I have continued working with Coach Rob. I have run 11 races so far and have PR'd in each one. I will be running my 3rd half marathon in May 2014 and will tackle the NYC marathon this November! If that doesn't attest to Rob's ability to motivate and coach effectively (even offsite) I don't know what does!!”
